First Look: The Walking Dead Game

For anyone who hasn’t seen the walking dead where have you been? No, really, where have you been? Fox’s apocalyptic program has taken the world like a plague of zombies, which is exactly what it’s about. And now they’re making a game.

I’m a little unsure as to how I feel about this, I’m worried that it might be horrible and that it’ll ruin the show too. There have been many film/tv adaptations over the years some good, some bad, and some that should be locked away in a concrete box and thrown to the bottom of the Marina Trench.

I’m a little sad that it doesn’t seem to involve any of the same characters from the TV show, there will be 5 main characters to focus on playing the game from each one’s perspective in different chapters, which will be released separately. Then again if there is no Rick or Shane to ruin perhaps we can look at the game more in it’s own right rather than endlessly comparing to to the TV show.
The style of the game looks quite good, adopting a more comic book style, I just hope the gameplay will be as good. No glitches or cutting corners, I would rather wait than have a half-arsed attempt.
